Born in the USA. Her brother, Edward Knoblauch (1874-1945) was a playright who dramatized novels as well as writing original and collaborative works. His greatest success was 'Kismet, an "Arabian night" in three acts' (1912). Gertrude moved to London, probably with her brother, around 1905. She settled in Chelsea in the early 1930s and died in London.
Edward Knoblauch's papers are in the Harvard Theatre Collection, Houghton Library, Harvard College Library, Harvard University.
